Nutrition and Headache

What many of us do not realize is that the gut-brain connection is quite strong. In migraine, one of the first symptoms is nausea (with or without vomiting) often caused secondary to gastroparesis. Gastro = gut, paresis = stop. Making a plan to focus on nutrition can help to improve headache burden.

Growing a Clinic

Growing a Clinic

As a soon to be mother of four, 18 months of growing a clinic baby sounds pretty grueling.  It IS worth it. This would ultimately be to make life better not only for my patients, my staff, my family and little old me, but also for the future of medicine, and the headache and facial pain population.

Virtual Introduction

Hi! I’m Cris Wohlgehagen, MD – my patients kindly refer to me as Dr. Cris. I’m a neurologist who is fellowship trained in headache medicine and working on building a membership based headache center!

Although I have never before kept up with social media, I now feel it may make a difference in someone’s life to give my experience - if only to provide encouragement - on life as a headache specialist and starting a clinical practice from well, below zero.
